Nikki Quenette, CPA, CMA

Nikki has broad-based financial experience having served clients in healthcare, hospitality, government, non-profit and a variety of small businesses. A few years ago, Nikki turned her focus to exclusively serving veterinarians. As a consultant with Summit Veterinary Advisors, Nikki’s consulting engagements included practice valuations, profitability analysis, budget preparation and implementation, preparation of forecasts and projections, buy-in analysis and agreements and QuickBooks set-up and training, along with many other projects. Her clientele consisted of small animal, equine and specialty veterinary practices. 

Nikki’s skills as a financial and practice consultant have been greatly enhanced by her direct experience owning a veterinary clinic. She and her husband Steve, a veterinarian, opened Diamond Q Animal Hospital in 2006. Involved in all aspects of the business, from researching the demographics and identifying a suitable location to management of daily operations, Nikki has performed both in the trenches and as an advisor to many practices both small and large.

Now that the practice is thriving, Nikki is using her knowledge and experience to help other veterinarians succeed by providing them with financial analyses, cash flow reviews, profitability analysis in connection with business valuations, producing management reports, tracking key performance indicators, benchmarking against industry standards and start-up services that include business plans with projections. The benefits veterinarians receive from utilizing Nikki’s expertise are numerous. Many business owners appreciate the increased profits and value, not to mention the peace of mind they get from knowing their business is in order and that they are in good hands.
